A Christmas Story

This year's Christmas was one of the best yet.
Even though we started and ended with snow it did make for some beautiful scenery. After days of playing and shoveling in the snow the kids and I were ready for some company.

The kids had so much fun helping me make a buffet of cookies and treats.

After all the baking cleaning and preparation the family arrived and the fun began.
We ate, we drank,

we swapped gifts!

It was so wonderful to have everyone over.

We got Santa's cookies out on time and the kids headed to bed.

And believe it or not we woke up to MORE snow the very next morning.

Santa didn't disappoint this year as you can tell by the looks on their faces. Boy were they spoiled this year.

Tyler was ready as ever to open all those presents. Isabelle was just happy to play with her baby.

Nana and papa tried their hand at getting the "frog tent" together and after a few comments from the peanut gallery we figured it out :)

Aaron showed the kids how to play Hungry Hungry Hippos, Tyler is a pro now.

Here are some kisses under the Mistletoe!

And after all of that Aaron had one more surprise in mind.
The kids came home and Aaron took them on a scavenger hunt with flashlights. We turned off all the lights and had them hunting from room to room looking for "one more present". When we finally got to the garage this is how it went
Aaron asked: "What is that over there?"
Tyler: "um... It's just a blanket."
Christy asked: "Well what is that? (pointing to the tire sticking out) Maybe we should look under the blanket I think I see something."
Tyler and Isabelle both lift up the blanket.
Isabelle: *gasp*
Tyler: "oh it's just some bikes. Oh It's Bikes!!!!"

Needless to say they were thrilled.

And believe it or not the next morning we woke up to MORE snow.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. We can't wait to do it again next year!
